About Us

Jacob and Samantha Joyce opened the doors of Dog Depot in January of 2025. Samantha has been working in the dog industry for over a decade, providing training, grooming, boarding, and daily care to small and large dog breeds. She has a soft spot for dogs that require more patience and support. After the birth of their daughter in July of 2024, Samantha left her job as a professional dog groomer to be a full-time mom-which also meant she no longer had a spot to groom Ryder, their Australian Shepherd who deals with dog reactivity. Since Ryder deals with dog reactivity, the possibility of him being able to be groomed professionally by someone other than Samantha is slim.  Many of Samantha's former clients spoke about their similar experience of the inability to use professional grooming services because of their dog's reactivity or separation anxiety. Giving Ryder a bath at home was the genesis of the self-service dog washing business model after recognizing how the process took too long and left their bathroom a mess. Self-service dog washing provides a safe space for dogs and their owners to bond while eliminating the extensive clean-up process of bathing at home. It also provides an affordable way for owners to keep their dog clean.
